The primary focus of the Elizabeth Renaissance Foundation is to provide a funding source to use on respective projects that contribute to increasing and improving the overall appearance of Elizabeth, New Jersey.
The ERF focuses on select beautification projects that enhance the marketing and development efforts of the Elizabeth Destination Marketing Organization [EDMO]. EDMO promotes the City of Elizabeth as a year-round destination These promotions are based on the relative geographic proximity to Newark Liberty International Airport [EWR], New York City, and the greater northeast region of America. The new tourism branding emphasis revolves around the starting point for the state of New Jersey! As NJ’s first capital (est.1664), Elizabeth’s new tourism initiative strives to promote its rich local history, brand-name hotel accommodations, high-end outlet shopping, diverse cultural dining, and trending nightlife. Of which the Elizabeth Renaissance Foundation is to support the local appearance depicted in the above-mentioned sectors of its marketing initiatives.
